Questions people actually ask at the counter
How do I know the gold is really the purity you say?
Read the hallmark. Every gold piece here carries a stamp for its purity, and we will hand you a glass and show you where it is. If a piece has no stamp, we tell you that too rather than talk around it.
Why do making charges differ from shop to shop?
Because they pay for the labour on that specific piece, and a fine handmade chain takes far more work than a plain one. What matters is that the charge is quoted per gram before you decide, which is how we do it.
Is the rate you use today's rate?
Yes, and it is on the board at the door. The rate on your bill is the rate that was showing when you bought. Ask us to point at it before we write anything.
What will I get back if I sell this later?
The metal value at the rate on the day, on the weight we put on the scale in front of you, less any stated loss. Making charges are labour and are not returned. Anyone promising otherwise is not being straight with you.
Do you take old gold in exchange?
Yes. It gets weighed on the same counter scale while you watch, and every deduction is named before you agree to it.
Can you make something to my own design?
Bring the drawing, or the photo, or the old piece you want rebuilt. The bench is ours, so we can tell you honestly what will work and what will not before you commit.
